Stillorgan 55 - 7 Skerries

J3 League - Oct 19th, 2008

Alright lads

Here is the round up that i can remember

To start, way too many tries for me to get all the details correct, so knock yourselves on the editing.

Think padraig got the first one off the back of a scrum deep in their half from a back from move. Conversion missed

After some quick hands by the backs ball went to the flyer on the wing for ciabhan to cruse in for a try in the corner. Conversion missed

After some high tempo Rugby with forwards and backs intermingling. The ball was switched inside and then back outside to the Ciabh on the wing, he brushed aside the attempted tackles to score on the wing. Conversion missed

After some good pick and go action, Brian took the last one to crash over the line.

Penalty attempt just before half time missed to the right

After second phase ball off the line-out on their 22, we ran a good dummy Mloop for fiin to cross in the corner. Converted

Some good kicking from frees out of hand from Shane got us solid field position in their half, they could not handle the pressure put on by the pack and gave us a penalty about 10 yards out. A criss/cross straight off the training ground had danny over the line.

After a mall up the right hand side of the pitch, ball given to teh backs and taken in to contact and Danny broke off the back of ruck to charge over.

After a heroic run from big AL straight at the heart of their centres, splitting them like Brian Habana We spun the ball wide and Liam made some good ground on the right hand wing, the forwards cleared out a few times and bull threw a few lads out of the way and ran it in under the posts. Converted

Overall very comprehensive victory with try\'s from both the forwards and backs. Strong defence with little if any line breaks on their behalf. Their scrum was under pressure to say the lease, with stillorgan turning over on more than one occasion. Lineout functioned well with good ball retention on our throw and a few turnovers. Good team performance.

There are two tries missing lads, Brian and Danny got them but i can\'t for the life of me remember what they were like.

They were very poor but you can only play what is in front of you.
