A dull day in D4 ends in draw against Bective

Stalemate in Fort Donnybrook was the outcome of this match as our hosts decided to play this game on the all-weather back pitch. The pitch never allowed Stillorgan tp play the free flowing champagne rugby that Stillorgan are accustomed to. Never the less, the visitors got stuck in early and made all the running in the first half and took a three point lead into the second half.
With Bective playing with the elements (wind and mud slide) in the second half, it needed a good showing by the Stillorgan team to hold them out and with a much imporved line out and scrum, they proceded to do so. Bective never looked like breaking a water tight Stillorgan defense but did manage to level the game with a penalty. Some good performances around the field, the two centres Mark and Bull and Alan Blanco at full back. Pick of the pack was the French Muskateer, Fabbbiiieen.
