Barnhall 8 - Stillorgan 46
Stillorgan kicked off their cup campaign with a comprehensive away win over Barnhall. Playing against a stiff breeze Stillorgan started very well and played their best rugby of the season. The opening try came from the Bull whose searing pace brought win over from a couple of feet. Stillorgan continued to make all the running and were rewarded with three more tries and a penalty before half time.
The second half saw an early break away try from Alan which effectively killed the game for the visiting team. Taking their foot off the gas Stillorgan allowed a determined Barnhall to respond with a try but with fifteen minutes to go Stillorgan wrapped up the game with a fine try in the corner.
A good performance which sets us up well for the next round.
Thanks to everyone who made the journey out to support the team.
