Stillorgan 6 - Barnhall 35
A tough end to the cup campaign for Stillorgan in the J5 semi-final. Stillorgan got off to a rip roaring start to the game and played good football throughout the opening exchanges. Barnhall under pressure conceded a couple of penalties which were cooly converted by ol' twinkle toes himself, Niallo. Unfortunately the troubles started there as Stillorgan were hit by a string of injuries. Three of which had to leave the pitch. Fergus who was taken to the hospital for suspected concussion was reported to be ok but doctors still maintain that there still is a screw loose. Seeing Stillorgan beraggled by injuries Barnhall upped the stakes and started to make all the running. With all the pressure and getting all the right bounces they scored a couple of tries in the process to take to half time a good lead.
Stillorgan turned into the second half with renewed vigour and were camped on the Barnhall for long stretches but unfortunately couldn't find a way through. Barnhall got a couple of breakaway tries to put the tie beyond reach. Good performances from Jerry, Barry in the pack and Donnacha in the backs.
