Well it was a big ask but we succeeded in putting out 2 teams plus a couple of subs at the same time- well done to All. The J3s went played on the back pitch for the First time this season in what was perfect conditions. We played up the hill in the first half and we started brightly, good catch by the forwards and we cleared our lines. Padraig (Dannys brother) was making his Debut at 1st centre. What a first touch he got the ball outside the 22 after some good work from Eoin and in a scene that resembled Ginger Mcloughlins try against England he dragged 3 of their players over the line for a try. Eddie got a great conversion to leave the score at 7-0. Match was getting a bit tetchy at times and their Prop I think got sent off so we had an extra man.
Bective then put us under alot of pressure with a number of 5m scrums, great defence held them out. This pressure did yield to a penalty which they converted to leave the score at 7-3. We were starting to get on top now and this yielded a penalty, a great touch finder from Eddie gave the forwards a 5m lineout. The forwards had a great take like a Tsunami they proved unstoppable 5ms out and mauled over the line with Eoin getting the final touch. This left the score at 12-3 at halftime.
2nd Half was played down the hill we spent most of the half in their half. Eddie kicking from hand was very good pinning them back. Forwards were playing well and game was getting loose, Shane was out in the backs, Danny was taking the ball up well. This pressure led to our next try which came straight off the Marys school yard. Garrett centre made a half break for gareth wing to run a great line to get the ball off the inside shoulder to score under posts.
We continued to press this led to another try the ball got spread left from eddie, to padraig to garrett and then back into to Padraig to score his second try. This brought the score to 26-3. Game was very lose now and we were trying out our set pieces- twice we got penalites in the 2nd half which we kicked to touch for 5m lineouts- twice we threw in crooked. We were breaking from everywhere one break down the right led to one of their tries when we threw an intercept pass by the Marcus Horan of our front row :-) We did bounce back with some pressure put on Bective their kick got blocked and the ball was fed to Shane Kenny on the wing to run in from 40ms out which was converted to leave the score 33-10.

Areas for Improvement DEFENSE - forwards are still tending to drift towards lost rucks leaving us thin in Defence out wide. Terenure will not let us away with this, we need pillar post at rucks as Terenure scrum half snipes and rest of the forwards spreading out. A number of times their outhalf gave an inside pass and there was no one there to tackle their receiver.
Concentration- we still have a tendancy to fall asleep for periods of games. We lost 2 crucial 5m lineouts against Terenure we will get very few opportunities like this so we need to make the most of it.
Decision making- In tight games we don't tap and run 10ms from our own tryline up the hill. We kick to touch and play it from there. In tight matches these decisions will win/lose us the game and we will need to take any points we can!!
Rucking Tony/eoin said that it was a bit soft at times, we need to keep our intensity up for the full 80's.
Overall very good runout against weakish opposition but you can only beat what is in front of you.
